There are multiple options for preschool here in West Newbury but if you’re looking for a safe, supportive, nurturing environment with excellent teachers the Learning Tree is it! We met Kelli, owner / teacher, during a tour of the preschool. We instantly knew it was perfect for our twin boys. Across the street from the West Newbury Library, it provided a wonderful indoor classroom setting with a safe attached outdoor play area. Each day incorporated learning with play from 9am -1pm which we knew our boys would thrive in. Some highlights for our family have been the class performances. For the holidays and end of year, the kids put on a performance singing songs they have learned on a big stage in front of all of their family members. We could not be more proud of the confidence they have built and pride they have in learning new things. Additionally, our boys loved the class field trips to the West Newbury Library, Long Hill Orchard Farm, and the visit from the West Newbury firefighters and fire truck. For the last two years, we have had a wonderful experience learning, growing, building social skills, and making new friends. Kelli and the other teachers are highly experienced and have created an environment that makes children excited to come to school and learn. We could not ask for anything more from our preschool experience.

Miss Kelli and all of the girls at the school were amazing! My daughter Brynn spent three years learning from them. Every day, she woke up happy to go. She loved her school, her teacher and her friends. We feel So lucky to have found the Learning Tree. Not only was my daughter safe and happy but she was loved and for that, I can’t thank you guys enough. She will miss her time with you guys! ❤️

We absolutely loved our year at Learning Tree ~ switching from a larger school we truly loved our experience at Learning Tree so much. We feel as though both our children got such great care and attention. Our 5 year old daughter thrived in school, coming home each day with stories to tell, solid friendships made, art projects and excitement of learning. Our 3 year sons first school experience was so wonderful as well, he went to school each day with such excitement and joy of his teachers classmates and learning. I absolutely loved the holiday shows they did at Halloween, Christmas and the end of the year performance, show casing their beautiful art work all around the stage, and seeing the kids all have so much fun together brought such joy to my heart. Mrs. Kelli, Mrs. Alli, Ms. Stephanie & Ms. Ani all truly love what they do and it truly shows in the love and care they put into our children ~ Our son is so excited for his years to come at Learning Tree, and our daughter is already talking about coming back to visit, read stories to her brothers classroom and attend Kids night out events they host ! In so many ways this school reminded me of my own magical preschool experience and I love seeing that through my kids eyes now ~ Lauren Santos

It is hard to put into words how much Learning Tree preschool has meant to our family. Our twin girls started here at 2½ years old, and after 3½ wonderful years, we are leaving with grateful hearts and countless memories. From day one, the teachers, Ms Kelli, Ms Ali, Ms Stephanie and Ms Ani created a loving, nurturing environment where our girls felt safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. Over the years, we have watched them grow in confidence, independence, kindness, and curiosity. They have truly blossomed, and so much of that is thanks to the incredible care, guidance, and dedication of the teachers. What makes this school so special is that it feels like family. The teachers genuinely care about each child and celebrate their unique personalities and milestones. They have shared in our girls’ successes, comforted them through challenges, and helped shape them into the amazing little people they are today. We will always be thankful for the love, patience, and support our family has received here. If you are looking for a preschool where your child will be cherished, encouraged, and given every opportunity to thrive, we cannot recommend this school highly enough. We moved to West Newbury in 2023 and I was very anxious about transitioning my daughter to a new preschool. Yet after meeting Ms. Kelli and touring her preschool i instantly knew this was the school for my daughter! Ms. Kelli and all her teachers are nurturing, dedicated and take time to communicate with parents. The teacher’s go above and beyond every day from putting on holiday/ end of school shows, hosting kids night out, summer camp, endless creative crafts, and of course support my daughter academically and emotionally. My daughter and now son, both look forward to school and always come home happy with tons of crafts in their hands and singing new songs. My daughter is off to kindergarten next year and I can honestly say Learning Tree has prepared her for this next chapter! I can’t recommend Learning Tree enough!

As parents, we could not have dreamed of a better preschool experience for our daughter. The dedication, warmth, and thoughtfulness that Ms. Kelli, Ms. Stephanie, and Ms. Ani bring to their interactions with every child was immediately evident, and made it easy to drop our daughter off each day knowing she would have a wonderful experience. Ms. Kelli and the other teachers were nothing short of masterful in their support of our daughter: at once incredibly responsive to our daughter’s needs, giving the flexibility she needed to feel comfortable, while also encouraging and pushing her to grow academically and socially. We have seen our daughter really come out of her shell and flourish over the course of her time at Learning Tree, and we will be forever grateful for her time there. It is a truly special place and we would highly recommend it to any parent!

Our daughter blossomed in their nurturing environment, and we are beyond thankful for the incredible growth she experienced during her time there. The attention to each child is truly personalized, and it shows in everything from the thoughtful crafts to the engaging music performances. The love and warmth our daughter received at the Learning Tree these past few years has been the best gift for us all. When we were looking at all of the area preschools for a spot for our daughter, we really just wanted to find someplace where she could feel loved and supported while she grew into her own little person. I highly recommend Learning Tree Preschool to any parents looking to enroll their child in a preschool program! My son just finished up his second year at Learning Tree and is off to Kindergarten! He is our oldest child, and this was our first time as parents choosing any type of schooling program. Kelli made us feel right at home from the moment we met her for a tour and throughout my son’s entire time at Learning Tree! She always kept us in the loop with how he was doing throughout the year. It was such a good feeling as first time parents to know that we picked the perfect school for our family! The teachers Ms.Kelli, Ms. Ali and Ms. Ani are all so kind, caring, patient and have such special relationships with each and every child. The projects and learning circuits they teach throughout the year are so thought out and well executed! My son is so sad to leave LT but I am certain that he is Kindergarten ready thanks to Learning Tree…. and I am so glad we have another little one starting up with Kelli and her team in the fall!

I can’t recommend Learning Tree enough! My daughter attended for three years and was excited for everyday. The teachers, Ms. Kelli and Ms. Ali are caring, dedicated and skilled at creating an enriching environment for the students. They love each child individually, allowing their skills to shine. They provide each child the tools to succeed by forming structure in the classroom, comfortability in group-peer settings and unlocking their imaginations through various activities. The Learning Tree keeps a child’s mind engaged both in and out of the classroom with holiday shows, field trips, kids nights and summer camps. As a parent I have witnessed the firsthand positive impact The Learning Tree has had on my child’s growth and development. I highly recommend Learning Tree for any parent looking for an excellent early education experience!

The learning tree preschool is the best! My daughter Evelynn started at learning tree just after her 3rd birthday and did 3 years with Kelli, Ali and Ani. Because of them Evelynn has broken out of her timid shell to an excited girl who loves to learn. As an early childhood educator myself I have been so impressed with the nurturing environment of the school. Honestly if Learning tree did elementary school we would never leave. I am so confident in my daughters readiness for kindergarten and it is all because of them.

We absolutely love the Learning Tree Preschool! My granddaughter, Nina, started at 2.9. This is her third year, and then off to kindergarten in the Fall! Because of her experience here, she is more than ready to start kindergarten with solid skills--socially and academically! As a retired early child educator, I could not be happier with the curriculum that Learning Tree exposes the children to! The social and academic skills she has acquired are impressive! Nina has strengthened her social, oral language, fine motor and reading readiness skills. She is so happy to go to school each morning! We look forward to this Fall when our youngest granddaughter will be attending Learning Tree! We can't thank Ms. Kelli, Ms. Ali and Ms. Ani enough!

All three of my children attended Learning Tree Preschool- LT has been such an important part of our lives for the past 7 years. For us, the staff were not just teachers, they felt like family and treated our kids with such love and respect throughout our time there. Even during the craziness of covid, LT was the constant in our life that kept our kid's learning on track and went above and beyond to ensure their safety and happiness each day. Now that our youngest is entering into kindergarten, we will miss the teachers and all the friends made at LT so much. We feel so grateful that we chose this little school to prepare our babes for elementary years. For anyone looking for the best of the best- look no further you have found it.

My daughter started at Learning Tree when she was 2.9yrs old and is now off to kindergarten in the fall. I feel so lucky to have found Learning Tree because Ms. Kelli, Ms. Kelly and Ms. Ali understand how critical a child's early years are in their learning and development. At Learning Tree, children are surrounded by a safe, caring environment that promotes an enthusiasm for learning. The curriculum is adaptive, well structured and consists of a wide variety of fun activities that promotes literacy and fundamental skills. At Learning Tree, children are surrounded by teachers that are patient, kind, knowledgeable, energetic and compassionate. They communicate with families so well regarding a child's individual needs and progress. Ms. Kelli, Ms. Kelly and Ms. Ali take the time to get to know each child. They understand how that child learns best and what that child needs (especially when they are trying to tackle their big emotions). They model appropriate behavior in a gentle and empathetic way. While doing all this, they still put effort into knowing what is happening in the students' lives outside of school. They truly feel like an extension of the family. When my daughter would walk up the stairs to school, excitedly telling her teacher what she did or what she loves to do, I knew she was walking into a bright, fun and caring environment that not only promoted her academic growth but emotional and social growth as well. She would be learning independence, socialization skills and beginning to form her identity all while tackling big feelings. I also knew that she was surrounded by genuinely kind people that wanted the best for her and were always available with a kind word or a much needed hug and as I would drive away, I knew there was no other place she ought to be.

We have been part of the Learning Tree family for 5 years and have loved every minute of it. We felt welcome at the Learning Tree from the moment we visited with our oldest. For us, a loving and caring environment was a top priority. Ms. Kelli, Ms. Kelly, and Ms. Ali care about every child in their care. They know them as people not just students. They know their favorite things, their favorite people, and their favorite hobbies. They respond to behavior challenges with compassion and support so children learn. They cultivate the social, and emotional growth of their students while also enabling them to make tremendous progress academically. I will never forget the support we all got arriving for my son's first day of school just one day after his baby sister was born. Two huge milestones all at once for him and Learning Tree gave him (and me) everything he (we) needed. My daughter, who is always attached to me, never, and I mean never, hesitated to walk confidently into the Learning Tree. It was the one place where she consistently felt safe to be away from me. We are so grateful to the Learning Tree and especially Ms. Kelli, Ms. Kelly, and Ms. Ali for what they gave our kids at such a critical stage in their development.
